            Birth
Poseidon was one of the kids of Cronos.. After Cronos threw Poseidon up, Posiedon helped Zeus  in the battle against Cronos. Then when Zeus won Zeus, Posiedon, and Hades were ready to fight out who would be king. Prometheus  though suggested that they cast lots and figure the kingdom. So Poseidon ended up as the god of the sea, Zeus god of the heaven, and Hades as the god of the underworld.  This is what happened to Poseidon.

This is a story that mentioned Poseidon.

Zeus at the beginning of he reign had terrible battles with monsters which he destroyed; but these were not the only rebellions he had to deal with. Poseidon, lord of the sea, had two sons, named Otos and Ephialtes, who were a remarkable pair of beings. Each year they grew one cubit in breadth, and one fathom in height: so at nine years old, they were fifty-four feet high, and thirteen feet six inches broad; and they thought they were a match for a common sort of god like Zeus. So they determined to conquer Zeus, and to rule the universe themselves. They piled Mount Ossa upon Mount Olympos, and Mount Pelion upon Ossa, and they meant thus to climb up into heaven and turn Zeus out. They caught Ares, the war-god, and shut him up in a brazen pot, with the lid on, where they kept him for thirteen months; but he was rescued by Hermes, and came out quite exhausted. Zeus was pleased with Hermes, because this proved that he had been wise to welcome Hermes into Olymos. Bit Zeus did not seem to take much notice of the big boys; however, Artemis did, because they were great huntsmen, and she knew all  about them and how they grew. She changed herself therefore into the shape of a deer; and one day, when they were hunting , she ran between them. Each threw a spear at her, but she skipped nimbly out of the way; so the spear of Otos pierced Ephialtes, and the spear of Ephialtes pierced Otos, and that was the end of them. I do not know what they might have done of if they had lived to grow up.
