| Mission:Provide a forum where Christian entertainers can network to win the entertainment industry to the Lord, and work at removing discrimination against Christians in the entertainment industry. |
| The secular entertainment idustry has on occasion been hostile toward biblical teachings. The same group of people who preach tolerance, and who label conservative Christians as "bigots" are respocible for most of the anti-Christian sentiment. Peer presure in our industry can cause Christians to hide their beliefs. There are many Christians who are trying to get a start in acting, modeling, singing, song writing, composing, writing, directing, and producing, who must keep their constitutionally protected beliefs and views to them selves or find themselves out of a job. These young Christians do not have the established work record in their chosen fields to be able to stand for what they believe in some cases. Fortunately there are many Christians who have become well established in the industry. The FCE will provide a way for the Christian celebrity to minister to aspiring artists. This Organization, although not yet officially formed, has already been functioning to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to secular entertainers by getting them involved with Christians in film projects, and by sending emails to celebrities, requesting them to contact aspiring actors and actresses with personal testimonies, and letters of witness. There is also a newly formed Yahoo group that has been designated as the discussion forum for members. No membership dues are being charged for the FCE currently, and the goal is to keep the membership free. The organization will function in a low-key manner until a larger number of big name celebrities join. The FCE will eventually be able to function like other larger clubs and organizations providing insurance benefits to members, discounted purchases and many other benefits as well. |
| Credibility through name recognition: What better use is there of a Christian's fame than to reach another entertainer with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ? The FCE should be able to give a postive responce to the discrimination against Christians in our industry and promote the return a family friendly Hollywood. The FCE will focus on evangelism and decipleship. Those who are liberal and those who are conservative will come together in the name of the Lord to populate Heaven in an organization that recognizes the Holy Bible as the perfect, true and complete word of God. |
