| My Surfer Girl A Poem by Cody Craig The love of browns and brunettes, Of raven and auburn manes, Of prim and proper woman, Is running in your veins; Strong love of hazel-brown eyes, Manicured finger-nails and soft, white skin - I know but cannot share it, My love is not akin. I love a sunburnt woman, A body of sweeping curves, Of taut stomach muscles, Of a figure that's worth a perve. I love her dark complexion, I love her being free, Her beauty and her terror - The young brown maiden for me. Her stark white bikini lines, All tragic to the moon, Her sapphire misted eyes, The hot gold sun of noon. Frothy waves rush the beaches, Where fish and dolphins toil, And sea gulls flock the sky, And nothing is a spoil. Love of my heart, my surfer girl! Her bottomless blue eyes, When loneliness creeps in around us, We feel like curling up to die - But then the strong winds gather, And we can bless again The drumming of the surf, The leeching of my pain. Love of my heart, my surfer girl! Hair of pure gold, I watch as she thrashes, All brazen and utterly bold; Through tubes she would slice, Watch, after many days, The misty spray of saltiness That thickens as we gaze. An open-hearted girl, As pure as the virgin sand - All you who have not loved her, You will not understand - Though the world has many splendors, Whenever I may die, I know to what tanned maiden My dyeing thoughts will fly. |
