| We decided to get a pet rabbit after going to a farm to go apple picking and getting to play with the bunnies there. A few days later we went to the pet store, just to see what kind of bunnies they had, that's when we got Cody. After a month of enjoying our little "Cody-buns" we thought he needed a bigger cage, went back to the pet store, and found Lily (and a big cage, too). Well, being rabbit beginners, we thought it would be best to get a female rabbit for Cody, thinking that he wouldn't be sexually mature for a couple months and we could have him neutered right away... boy were we wrong! Once Cody turned six months old he was neutered. The surgery went great and now Cody and Lily live in the same cage and they really love each other. We are very lucky to have such great pets and would highly recommend a rabbit to anybody ready to devote a lot of love and attention to a pet. Rabbits take a lot more work than we first thought, but it's all worth it. |
