The Truth

I was just driving in my car and God spoke to me. I asked God to reveal something to me and he did. Here is what He revealed to me:

I was asked the following question by a friend If God exists, why does He let bad things happen? My answer was that He doesnt let them happen, WE make them happen. We are the ones that make and let the bad things happen. His rebuttal was a good one. But God is in control of everything. Everything is predestined by God. So what is happening is part of His plan. So why are bad things happening? Good point. This stopped me in my tracks. I tried (with my own intellectual powers) to answer his question. I think I made a reference to the Bible and then proceeded to say that I dont read the Bible enough and am not the right person to be asking these types of questions because I am not learned enough in the Word of God. Its true that I dont read the Bible enough. But, I should still be able to answer this question better than this. So I asked God to answer it for me. I started to talk and He gave me these words (not exactly but what I remember from them)

There is 2 ways to do things in this world. The right way, and the wrong way. We can either choose to do things the right way, or choose to do things the wrong way. Most people think that there is no point in choosing any particular way because God already knows what we are going to pick, therefore, there is no such thing as free choice. This is a lie. We DO have free choice.

The right way in the world is to believe that God exists. God sent Jesus to earth to die for our sins so that we are forgiven and so that we have direct access to God - so we can form a relationship with God. He is the Truth and the Way. THAT is the TRUTH. That is the RIGHT way. The wrong way is that God does not exist. That we are pointless beings that go through life for no reason other than to die. To have our fun and then to die. The wrong way is to say that God does not care about me and cant help me. That I cant have a relationship with God. This is the wrong way. This is NOT truth.

Heres the problem. We think that we dont really have free choice because God knows what choice we are going to make. Thus, we shouldnt make a choice. AND, there is no right or wrong choice. WRONG. There is a right choice. And there is free choice. The thing that we dont understand is that although GOD knows what we are going to choose, we dont. WE dont always know what path we are going to choose. God does. The CHOICE comes down to choosing the right path. Not the wrong path. The choice comes down to making the decision to believe in God. To believe the TRUTH of the gospel and to believe that if we ask God to help us make the right choices in life, we WILL. God has given us the ability to CHOOSE whether or not to believe in Him. To believe is the right way. To not believe is the wrong way. God already knows those of us who are going to choose the wrong way. But WE as humans have to decide to KNOW what choice we are going to make. And the only way to KNOW what choice you are going to make is to actually make a choice. And why not pick the right one?

Life comes down to choice. WE choose how to live our lives. And the choice of whether or not to believe in God is the most important choice you can ever make in life because that choice alters how you are going to make choices for the rest of your life. You can make the right choices for the rest of your life if you ask God to show you the right way. However, if you dont believe in God, and dont make decisions based on His teachings and His will then there are going to be people making wrong decisions in life. Thus, that is why there is wrong in the world. Because people dont believe the TRUTH (that God exists) they make decisions based on THEIR will (rather than Gods), thus, they make the wrong decisions which ultimately results in bad things happening in the world.

This is not an intellectual argument. This is not a philosophical argument. This is just some of the things that God has revealed to me. And I am completely and utterly thankful that He did. Because this effects how I live the rest of my life. Every choice I make for the rest of my life has to be done according to what God wants me to do. If I get into a situation that is tough, and I need to make a decision, I simply ask God to help me make the right one. Sometimes making the right decision is as easy as reading the Bible and finding the right decision. For example, God, should I forgive this person for the wrong they have done to me? Yes. God tells us to forgive people. (Matthew 18:21-35) But sometimes it is harder than that. There are decisions that are harder. Such as letting that person that you just forgave continue to be a close part of your life. You need to ask God to show you whether or not that person should be a close person in your life, or if you need that person to keep their distance for awhile while you maintain your boundaries.

All in all, life comes down to choice. A CHOICE that we DO have to make. Do we believe in God or not? Do we pick the right path or the wrong path? Why not pick the right path?

Why not?

The right path is THE TRUTH.

Summary:

1) There is a right way and a wrong way.
2) We DO have free choice because God gave us free choice. He knows what we are going to choose but we dont not until we MAKE a choice therefore, free choice exists.
3) The right choice is to believe that God exists and to continue to believe that He has the power to help us make the right decisions in life.
4) God wants all of us to be saved. But we have to CHOOSE to be saved. Thus, only everyone on earth will be saved if everyone on earth CHOOSES to be saved.
5) Bad happens in the world because people make the wrong CHOICE/CHOICES. People choose not to believe in God, which results in people making more wrong choices (that cause bad things to happen) because they are not choices based on Gods teachings.
6) You can make the right choice by simply accepting THE TRUTH.

I will conclude with the following truth:

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
