WELCOME TO CODNOR BOYS FC UNDER 11's WEB PAGE

League Champions 2003/2004

Codnor Boys football club was formed in 1981 to provide coaching sessions for Codnor Junior School. Six boys attended the first training session organised by Nev Robinson and Bob Coultard, on Mill Lane, within two weeks this had grown to fifteen boys.

Following this initial interest, Nev contacted several local people with a view to forming a committee to run the club.

The first meeting to form a committee was held at The Lord Byron public house (now flats) and Codnor Boys Football Club was formed with a single team in the Under 12's age group of the Derby City League.

The club has continued to grow and this season fielded twelve teams from Under 7's to Under 18's, with 4 and 5 year olds training to add to the growth of this club. This coming season 2003/2004 will see Codnor Boys Football Club obtain Charter Club Standard and with extra growth this club will field 15 teams next season.

The initial aims were to provide organised football in a club atmosphere. This continues today and a high standard of football is seen as demonstrated by the continued success of our teams and past players.
