| CAS QUITS CLUB!: Marcel Cas has had his request to have the remainder of his 18 month contract terminated after a bust up with Player/Manager Paul Groves. Cas signed for Grimsby in the summer from Sheffield United on a free transfer and started off well playing on the right wing and strangley at right back after Groves decided to rotate Cas and right back Jason Crowe. Marcel today hit out at Groves claiming he is a right winger not a right back. "I played the first 10 games and thought I did pretty well. But after my injury I never got a chance again and thats rubbish. I played 10 games awesome and I did not get any credit it for it. I am a right winger not a right back" claimed Cas to the Grimsby Telegraph. Marcel was signed as the replacement for exited winger Terry Cooke who also left after a fall out with Groves."The manager didn`t like me and i don`t like him. At this club, the players are okay but thats it, there is no fun,you just work your socks off, there needs to be some fun at the club and that will help the players work harder for each other" |
