THE MARINERS DONKEY LINE-UP
ANDY LOVE:Home grown unfit goalkeeper who was sent to prisson and released by Town. Andy Love never made that many apperances from joining in 1996/1997 until leaving in 1999/2000. Andy is now with Dr Martens league side Ilkeston Town.
NEIL WEBB:Former Manchester United defender Neil Webb signed or Town in the early ninties on loan from Nottingham Forest. Webb was an awful player and was graded "Past it" and pointless. Neil retired to follow up media work.
ALAN NEILSON:Ok on paper Alan Neilson looked good having played first team football for Newcastle United,Southampton and Fulham before arriving at Town on a free transfer, but Neilson I must say was well "PANTS". Neilson was the reason why we exited both Worthington and FA Cup`s in the 2001/2002 season. His sweet little own goal agaisnt York City in the FA Cup and his lack of effort in defending Edu`s early goal for Arsenal in the Worthington Cup. Congragtulations Grovsie for giving him away to Luton Town.
JASON GAVIN A waste of a loan signing in the 02/03 season, had a cracking debut against Gillingham but after that well everything Gavin did was errrrr "DAFT" Jason was brought into replace Georges Santos who left the club for 2 months at Christmas discussing a new contract and the already frail centre back Paul Raven. But to tell you the truth Raven was much better. We were all gald to see Gavin packing off back to Middlesbrough. Jason suprisngly is a regular for first division Bradford City nowadays.
TONY GALLIMORE:
There was no one really ever bad we had a left back however the worse has to be Tony Gallimore, despite being the clubs regular left back from 1996 to 2003 players before as in Graham Rodger, in between as Menno Willems and Ben Chapman and after as in Darren Barnard and Wes Parker are all superior to our binge boozer left back who now is the left back for rivals Barnsley.
ADAM BUCKLEY
:Hehehehehehehe Adam"Daddys little boy"Buckley has got to be Town`s biggest donkey. The useless waste of space joined Town from West Bromwich Albion reserves as soon as his dad was given the Town job. . Buckley though did not start to make an every match apperance until the following season when he used to come on in the 75th minute stand around get tackled and scratch his armpits.Town fans started to boo Buckley as he was no where near even a Confrence class player. As soon as his dad was sacked Adam was dropped into the reserves by the new boss Lennie Lawrence and then released to his dads new club Lincoln City.
Adam now has a court rule that he is not allowed to play Professional football again after being found guilty of theft of other Lincoln City players, he now plays for some team in one of the Lincolnshire leagues.

CHRIS BOLDER:
In my eyes the only bad player the club has at the moment. Chris Bolder a promissing central midfielder who was signed from Hull City youths in 2001/2002 in my eyes has been rushed into first team football to soon and at the moment is suited to teams such as Leigh RMI or Scarborough. I can`t see Bolders career going very far in the Nationwide leagues.
IAN HAMILTON:
Well experienced midfielder who was signed on loan from Sheffield United in the 1999/2000 season just because he used to play under current boss Alan Buckley. Hamilton never really impressed and was not anything special who brought or added anything to the team. Ian left Sheffield United for a brief spell with Notts County and then Alan Buckley bought him back for Lincoln City, where he was also branded a useless donkey. When Buckley left Keith Alexander gave Hamilton to Conference side Woking.
STEVE LIVINGSTONE:
Town fans will have mixed feelings about Livvo. he was mainly seen as the clown of Grimsby, goals scored by his ass and raging temper put smiles on all our faces. However his final season the 2002/2003 season with the club was far from funny, his stupid errors, muck ups in front of goal and his sluggish character with 0% determination branded him a Town fans love to hate symbol. Now currently with Division Three relegation strugglers Carlisle United.
MICHAEL JEFFREY
:Donkey runner-up in Town`s history books. Michael Jeffrey was past it from when he came to Town from Kilmarnock and when he left. Jeffrey did however score goals like once every year, which is awful for a suposed first team striker. Jeffrey was anothe rone of Alan Buckley`s buddies who was brought in and did mess everything up again like most of the other Buckley imports. Michael was signed in 00/01 season was released at the end of the 01/02 season. Having failed to impress other teams he returned back to his home town Liverpool to sell second hand cards and play for a local Sunday League team.
LAURENS TEN HEUVEL:
Suposed Dennis Bergkamp and Teddy Sheringham clone who signed on a 1 month loan and a view to a permanent deal from Sheffield United at the start of the 03/04 season. After seeing his home league debut I branded this guy a donkey, this man was taken off at half time against Port Vale and was replaced by Player/Manager Paul Groves who totally out classed him. Laurens could not connect with Mick Boulding nor none of the other players and was a dead old useless striker. Laurens had his loan spell chopped and he returned a week early from his loan only to find out he was to be released by Sheffield United the next day. Laurens now has just started playing for Dutch Premiership club De Graafschap.
