| 1/12/01 CODENAME:CLEVELAND's FIRST SHOW EVER!!!! we opened for Four Out of FIve Doctors (these guys are awesome, if you've never heard them, you don't know what the term 'incrediable' means). we got on stage around 7:30 so we had a pretty big crowd. we played 'fatty' then half of 'toy guitar' before it died. but everyone was having a good time so its okay. joel did 'c' and everybody loved him. people moshed for us and our good pal kaleb (whose name i can't spell) made himself a Codename Cleveland shirt so we love him. what a nice fella. |
| Feb. 2001 sometime next month we are hopefully going to put on a show with another new awesome local band LiveWire! THis is just a thought, there are no definite plans for this so don't hold it against us if it never happens. anyway, that will be excellent should it happen. |
| 5/30/01 okay so i admit it, the thing with LIvewire never worked out and this color of green is very bright and very ugly. haha DEAL WITH IT. anyway, speaking of Livewire, they are no longer Livewire, they are MethylRed (they played an awesome show at Boys and Girls Club on 5/26 which you should kill yourself if you missed because it kicked ass with roman candles and savvy and foofd and the whole shebang). anyway so there is actually concert related news and that is that CODENAME:CLEVELAND (us) are going to be playing at Angry, Young, and Poor Fest in July (13th and 14th). Hannah Hill is putting on the concert with hopes to get Jello (Dead Kennedys) to Fairbanks (hell). anyway, so come, rock out, i'll post more on that later. |
| 6/14/01 yaay! concert is one month away! so to update on Angry Young and Poor Fest ---> Jello Biafra costs way too much money so he is (in hannah's words) "not worth the pain in the ass". but there will still very much be a concert. and it will still be very much good. and FREE! haha we're poor! um... yes, so the concert is two days. first day is bands, art show, and open mic poetry and day two is local vendors and more bands. we are not sure which day we will be playing or at what time but we should know by the end of the week. and we will be good. we promise. and if not, then you obviously don't know what good is. you whore(s). |
| 10/12/01 Okay, so we had a concert two Fridays ago, and if you missed it, that means you missed us and you should feel sad. There were lots of punk bands, us, and the Roman Candles. The Roman Candles were their usual godly selves, and much fun was had by all. We opened the whole little Rocktoberfest and it seemed more like story time than a concert, as people were sitting in a little semi-circle in front of the stage... It was great. As of now, we are pondering a show in Anchorage possibly during Xmas break. If it is a good idea, we will try and do it. |
| 11/22/01 HAPPY THANKSGIVING! anyway, so there's a potential show next month with us. NOTHING IS SET YET, i was just giving you all something to look forward to. AND you can keep bugging us to play shows and then maybe we'll get around to organizing them! wahoO! anyway, there IS a good concert coming up. Generally we announce OUR shows but in this case, we are madly passionately in love with The Roman Candles and The Stephanies are pretty grand too. We have yet to hear Jeb but we're sure they kick some booty. Anyway, DECEMBER 1 @HESS REC CENTER UAF THE ROMAN CANDLES, JEB, THE STEPHANIES! 8PM! GO GO GO Also- CC's drummer Emily turns 17 on Saturday and CC's Bassist turns 16 on Sunday! JOY! and next month is guitarist Marquetta's Bday! |
| 12/2/01- Codename:Cleveland just got thier prayers answered! The Stephanies weren't able to play last night, and Codename:Cleveland snagged the opening spot! If you missed the show...well..it sucks to be you. We played a darn good set, with a new cover song "One", and our first exposure to Jeb was delightful. But we were really there to see, hear, and experience the phenomenon that is The Roman Candles. They played some great new songs off thier new cd, and played some old favorites, "Angelina" and "Archetecht". As far as upcoming shows go, I fear Codename:Cleveland may not be playing this Winter break, as Emily (our beautiful drummer) leaves for Fiji (that whore!) Christmas day. But who knows?!? | 6/02/02- Oooh CHILD!! we have not updated here forEVER! But here we go. The afore mentioned Dec. show never happened. I think we've played twice at Hess since then and we rocked the house as Ben Folds Five in May. I think we've got 3 or 4 shows tetatively lined up for the next month. Details will come. |
