1) Turn on your PS2 and make sure the cheat device is in.
2) Select a game, or enter the name of the game if it's not in yet.
3) Highlight the game. If you want to enter codes, read your instruction book.
4) Enter the codes with the in-game keyboard. Make sure you enter the Enable Code in first.
Code Example: 1234567A 7654321B
You enter that in exactly as shown, with that space in after the first 8 characters (depending on the cheat device used). You enter the full code (which is 16 characters long, in this example) on the same line. Don't put in 8 characters and go to another line for the other 8. If a code is 32 characters long, you enter the code on 2 lines, but make sure the code is still under the code's name. (Example of a code's name: Infinite Ammo)
5) After entering the codes, choose the game you want. That should return you to the main menu. They will ask you if you want to save the codes to your memory card (depending on the cheat device used). Select "yes".
If you want, you can now go back to the "select game" screen and choose your game. Make sure the codes that you entered are in and that they are highlighted and are ready for use.
6) Choose start game.
7) Take out the cheat device, and put your PS2 game in. Press X. If it says "Fails to load", you'll be at the main menu again. Choose Start Game. Press X for the game to load.
For Game Shark users, make sure you are using the correct version!
Remember to enter the Enable Code before any other code and that it must always be on. Save the codes to your memory card. Check to see if the codes you just entered are in, and that they are highlighted and are ready for use.
