Instructions:

First of all, open all the .exe files (except 
mplayerc.exe) and install them. Here is a list of 
the .exe files to run:

ac3filter_0_70b.exe
CoreAAC.exe
CoreVorbis_1[1].0b5_20030618.exe
ffdshow-20031028.exe
matrix_mixer_0_30b.exe
XviD-Dec.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32

Copy the following files to the folder above:

MatroskaMuxer.ax
MatroskaSplitter.ax
subtitlesource.ax
VSFilter.dll

Extract mplayerc.exe from either mpc2kxp6470.zip
or mpc98me6470.zip according to what OS you have
installed on your computer.

Copy mplayerc.exe to your "C:\" folder.
Open mplayerc.exe in the "C:\" folder and click
"Options..." in the "View" drop down menu. In 
the new pop-up "Options" window click "Formats" on 
the left panel. Then, on the right panel, click 
the "Video" button, click "Apply", and click "OK".

Now you are set to play .avi, .mkv, and .ogm!

If you hear crackling sounds from the audio...
Open mplayerc.exe in the "C:\" folder and click
on the menu "View" and click "Options..." in the 
drop down menu. In the new pop-up Options
window click "Audio-Switcher" in the left panel.
Then, in the right panel check "Enable built-in
audio switcher filter..." and "Down-sample to 
44100 Hz". Click "Apply" and "OK".
