New in v1.3 :
- Yahoo Briefcase and Photo Albums should be fully supported now, in any langage version. As I can't test all the possibilities by myself, I count on you all to report any problem. Yahoo Groups (Files and Photos) are more difficult to manage as they don't work the same way, but they should work quite fine now.
- Pseudo-Recursive : Double-Click on a sub-directory (Briefcase Tab) will launch a NEW instance of the program, and automatically start the download of this directory. At the end of the download, if there is no problem and no sub-subdirectory, the new program close itself. In case of an error or some subdirectories, it remain open to allow you to retry the process or to use these directories. An instance launched in this mode have a blinking red picture in the main window.
- Double-Click on a file (Briefcase Tab) will open it. If it is present on your hard-drive, this file will be open with its associated software. If not present, it will be opened directly from the web site, in Hi-Res, of course.
- "Create Briefcase subdirectories" comportment has been modified : a new directory level, named like the Briefcase owner, is also created. It gives now something like that :
%SavePath% \ %BriefcaseOwner% \ %Subdirectory% \
- At the end of a download, the window colour changes to a darker blue in the Windows task bar.
- Yahoo servers will identifiate the downloader as MS Internet 6.0 from now, to prevent any restriction from Yahoo.

New in v1.4 :(release date : 20/05/2002)
- Correction of the bug that prevents downloads of directories with #, ' and some other character in their name.
- Support of australian briefcase (au.photos.yahoo.com and au.briefcase.yahoo.com). They don't work the same way as the other and there is a bug (from Yahoo) on them that disturbed the downloader
- Program is no longer called "Yahoo Briefcase Downloader", but only "Yahoo Downloader", as it also works with Yahoo groups. (important upgrade, isn't it ? :))
- New download method for web pages, totally compatible with IE. As I use IE wininet.dll, Internet Explorer (any version) must be installed, but I don't think it's a problem because it is integrated in all 32 bits Windows version. No need to make Yahoo trust that the program is IE anymore, as it is really IE that download web pages. Files are still downloaded the same old way.
- Code rewritten and reorganized. Should be more stable, faster and easier to manage for me.
- Memory usage has been optimized.
- You can now resize main window up to full screen.
- You can decide if you use or not IE file cache.
- Once all files have been downloaded, the icon of the selected file in the treeview is displayed.
- Interface has been reorganized. Log window and briefcase treeview are now on the same tabsheet. No need to switch between them.
- All types of files can be downloaded now. Jpeg, gif, rar, mpg, avi, ace, zip, 001 ...
- All options set in the parent process are transmitted to child processes.
- All options are saved at program end and reused at program start
- Little enhancements
- If you get the "required tags not found" error with a correct address, just retry.
- In some VERY rare occasions, I noticed that the correct path to some files couldn't be found. The result is that these files may not be saved in the correct sub-directory if you check the "create sub-directories" option. It's the only consequence.

I release this version in emergency, as I promise some people a new version... but I didn't have the time to fully test it :(

A few days ago, Yahoo blocked the Hi-res trick (putting ".hires=t" at the end of the url) for pictures in briefcases.
I'm working on a way to get the hi-res pictures that Yahoo could not prevent without major changes on its server.
I mostly need time and motivation, but I have none of them for the moment.
If you have access to a premium account briefcase (or just know the url of one containing pictures), please send me an email.
I'll try to make a release soon, to correct some behaviour on Yahoo Groups.

(Very) little FAQ :
- If you got the "You are not logged in" error, it's because you didn't check the "remember my ID" checkbox when you logged into Yahoo. So, sign out, and log again with this thing checked.
- If you don't like my program, don't use it and make your own downloader. And remember how much you paid for it.
- If you got the "Required tags not found", just retry. If symptoms are persisting, consult your doctor or give the url you are using to the forum or send it to me by e-mail if you don't want it to be public.
