2nd Advanced Course on Psychiatry As a Science
Dr. Koray Karabekiroğlu has attanded to the "2nd Advanced Course on Psychiatry As a Science" which was held in Berlin on 31st
of Oct- 4th of November. He was awarded the travel and accomodation expanses by Charite Medical School. This course was
organized and directed by Prof. Norman sartorius and mostly focused on developing research and presentation skills
of psychiatry specialists and organizing multi-national research projects.
Together Against Stigma- III. International Congress
Dr. Koray Karabekiroğlu has attended to the "Together Against Stigma- III. International Congress" which was
held in Istanbul on 5-8th of October, and he presented a panel presentation entitled
"Misunderstanding and Stigma on Attention Deficit Disorders" and two posters,
"Stigmatization & Assumptions of Parents and Teachers on Attention Deficit Disorders" and "Stigmatization & Assumptions of Parents and Teachers on Autism Spectrum Disorders".
Autism & ADHD- III. International Symposium
Dr. Koray Karabekiroğlu has attended to the "Autism & ADHD- III. International Symposium" which was
held in Istanbul on 12-14th of September, and he presented a panel presentation entitled
"Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified- Clinical Features and Differential Diagnosis"
World Psychiatry Congress
Dr. Koray Karabekiroğlu has attended to the "World Psychiatry Congress" which was
held in Istanbul on 12-16th of July, and he presented a panel presentation entitled
"Integrative processing of internal and external information, A neuro-developmental
approach"
and two posters,
"Relation of Offspring’s Psychiatric Diagnosis to the Timing of Parental Depression" and
"Head Circumference in Autism is Enlarged From 2 to 3 Years of Age".
UEMS-CAPP Meeting at Torun, in Poland
European Union of Medical Specialities- Child Psychiatry meeting is held on 9-10 June 2006 at Torun, in Poland. Presidents of national child and adolescent psychiatry societies of European countries, president of ESCAP (European Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry), and representatives of EFPT (European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees) had attended to this meeting.
