There he was,
As if the gods had answered my prayers,
To be with me,
To comfort me from the heartache,
That I feel right now,
From the event that just occurred.
The man who just broke my heart,
Walked away as if I had never existed in this reality.
There he was,
My knight in shining armor,
The one to rescue me from the gloom of the day's rain.
To also rescue me from the sadness I felt.
As we walked away,
From the area of the event that caused the hurt in my soul,
He comforted me with his kind eyes,
the soft touch of his hands,
and soothing sound of his voice.
He has always been there for me
and
I hope that he always will.
