COCO IN THE BACK BAY

This is the Back Bay (Upper Newport Bay).
Facing south, the Pacific Ocean is about 3 miles (5 km) away.
This photo was taken in March. We have a rainy season in winter
and after that period, the grass comes out of the ground.

It is August now. The grass is brown.
But the plants near the water are still green.

Now, it's winter. Everything is brown.

Now, let me show you how the flowers bloom in spring.
The white houses in the background are the community
in which my mom, dad and I live.

We are walking south. See the water on the left? That is the Bay.

These are Spring flowers.

Coco. Say, Helloooo!!! Oooooh, this is silly...

You know, sometimes dogs can be tired.

Mom. I'm tired....

Mom. I'm definitely tired...

One day, when I was walking Back Bay, I found a brother and a sister.
Her name is Tutu and his name is Mr. Pip.

MY BIRTHDAY PARTY (I was born Feb. 27, 1998)

What is this stupid outfit for, Mom?

It's your birthday today, my dear.

We are going to show the world today is your birthday.

Do we really have to, Mom?

OK. Let's go, Coco.

Hey, wait. I smell something. Maybe it's food.

You have been a very good girl, today.
Let's go to the dog bakery.

And you will have a big cake, Coco.

Really?!

(At the Three Dog Bakery in Corona Del Mar)
Which one do you want?

All of them!

Now, which one do you want?

All of them. Right NOW!

After all. It's a good thing to have a birthday.

COCO GOES TO THE BEACH

My Mom and I at the Newport Pier (in the background).
It's a beautiful Saturday morning.
I spent my time chasing birds and waves.
I was so happy with the nature there but I didn't like getting wet!

My Dad and I. Mom is taking this photo.

Hello. How are you?

Mom. Why are you so far away?

Tired of chasing the birds...

Mom I'm hungry.

I know. You're always hungry.

Another day at the beach.

A tired woman and a tired dog.

A nice coffee break. I've got a doughnut.

This is a shot on Balboa Island.

My dad brought me along to his art show on Balboa Island.
There were about 100 artists on display and 2,000 people!
I didn't like to see so many people but I enjoyed the fantastic view of the Bay,
the boats and Balboa Peninsula across the bay.

Taking a break ...

Mr.& Mrs. Aota and their son Yukiya came to see me.

COCO AT HALLOWEEN

Mom. What is this outfit for? I look silly.

Is this some kind of joke or dog abuse?

Coco, it's Halloween today. Let's show off your costume.

Coco. You look so cute.

Do I? I'm afraid I look funny.

That's all right, Coco.

I want to go home and eat a dog biscuit ...

6/4/2006
At the Yorba Linda Art Festival, my photo was taken by OC Register's Ms. Ana Venegas.
Next day, it was on the paper. Now, I am a celebrity!

We are very sad to announce that Coco passed away at 2:09 P.M., Sunday, Feb. 15.
Cause of death : complications from lynphnode cancer. May she rest in peace.

She will be missed.
