Atlantis... Had too many Vanities... But I heard the vanities had 6 drawers each!!
Atlantis.. Who hasn't heard of it? They say it was a technologically hyper-advanced civilization hundreds of thousands of years ago.. A utopia. No money forms. Everyhting free. A trio of kings, a huge pyramid, and then SMASH CRASH KABOOM. It landed at the bottom of the sea.
Theories of Atlantis..
Some say that Atlantis' sinking was a punishment by the gods, for their vanity (that's where the joke came from). Others say it was just a series of especially unlucky events all at once that sent it down. Still others say that it was a legend. An example of what could happen to any of us..
Does it still exist??
Yes. A peice of it does. You see, a few days after the incedent, supposedly, some Spanish Conquistadors were on the shore of the Agean sea, when two men crawled to them, speaking in an odd language, and handed one of the Spaniards a stone square with strange symbols on it. Supposedly, the Spaniards thought nothing of the men and left, without the tablet. Therefore, due to archealogical finds of stone roads, and pillars, the only remaining peice of Atlantis is supposed to be a small island in the Agean called Thera. The theory is that all around this isle, was a valley, which would explain the huge 'pyramid'. When the cataclysm began, the earthquake caused a deluge of water to hurtle toward the valley, filling it with water. This theory is the only one which I find easy to believe. I personally believe that Atlantis was and is there today. Whether that is true or not, is yet to be determined...
