Lach Ness. Lake Ness. Famous for it's subzero temperatures, it's water, and an appearance on 'Scooby Doo'.

Do either exist? If so, which one? My answer is the prior for sure, and the later, maybe.
We know the lake exists, but when the subject of Nessy comes up {very rare when talking about the lake}, things get blurry. People show photos of smudged lines, hooks in the water, and anything that vaguely resembles the fabled Monster.
As for me, I wonder: If there is ONE nessy, where are it's parents? It's siblings? Was Nessy a middle child? Did Nessy find a mate? Are their photos of grand-children? All of these questions un-answered. Many people believe in the monster, if only for the sake of believing in it. Others have their own opinions: "Nessy is a dinosaur! RUN AWAY!!!", "Nessy's huge flippers have preserved her somehow", and, "Nessy killed Scooby Doo!!". None of these are proven, except maybe the first one. Some believe that Nessy evolved from an Ichthyosaurus, and that there are many of the species at the bottom of the lake. Others say that there is only one, somehow staying alive over hundreds and thousands of years, just because she's special! I doubt that anything will be proven in a long while. People will not want it to happen, so they can keep believing in good ol' Nessy!
