Rough-Toothed Dolphin
The rough-toothed dolphin is an odd-looking dolphin with large flippers, a cone-shaped head, white lips and lower jaw, and a narrow cape.  The rough-toothed dolphin got its name from the subtle wrinkles on its teeth.  This dolphin measures up to 2.8 m (9feet) and feeds on squid and fish in the offshore, deep waters of the Gulf.  Rough-toothed dolphins often swim with their chin and head above the water surface in a unipue way that is called "skimmin".
