(Ch. Mardon's Diamond Dust x Ch. Jo-Bea's Sunny Side Up)

Trader came to Sherwood at a very early age. Being Marie's pick of litter, she snatched this boy from his breeders, Hap & Bea Jones of Jo-Bea Kennels at the tender age of 12 weeks. Marie felt he had "Star" material and needed early training. How wrong she was. He was a natural in the ring. Finishing as a puppy, but it didn't stop there.

From the time Trader finished his championship, he progressed immediately to the "Specials" competition. Though it wasn't easy at first, he & Marie perservered and it paid off. Trader ranked as the #1 ASCOB in 1994! Over the next two years, Trader remained ranked in the top 3.

After his show career, Hap & Bea Jones generously allowed Marie to co-own Trader with them. His retirement, at Sherwood, is all beds and sofas but he still "struts his stuff" in the ring every now and then, just for old times sake, and he holds his own!

Relagated to being the man of house, he has become the producer his pedigree said he should be. In limited breeding, his champion get now total 35. Many of these kids have gone on to be "Best In Puppy Sweepstakes" winners, as well as, "Best in Speciality Show" winners. One daughter, Ch. Sherwood's Black Diamond went on to rank #1 Black bitch in 1999.
