| We ship via the airlines only, mailing canaries via the Post office is illegal! We take great care in shipping our canaries, we do not use cardboard boxes that can be crushed in shipping or stacked so air can not circulate around the birds, instead we use an airline approved molded plastic crate, with perches for added comfort for the bird during the shipping process. Shipping fees will be determined once the order is placed and may be affected by the number of birds ordered, crate weight, airline fees and surcharges. The shipping charge will vary depending on the location to be shipped to and the airline, this fee will be confirmed when the order is placed. I will shop for the least expensive carrier. Delta Airline usually charges $90-$100.00 for shipping. Temperatures must be above 45 degrees, here in Missouri and at the destination city, for the airlines to accept birds, without special handling fees. Canaries must be shipped in "pressurize" cargo planes, which may limit the selection of flight times and dates. Payment method: Money orders, Treasurer checks or Certified Cashier checks. Cash only for birds picked up from our home or delivered. We do not hold birds without payment in full. $30.00 crate charge for birds shipped, this charge is in addition to the cost of the birds and airline shipping fee. This charge covers the cost of our special shipping crate. Our shipping crate is approved by all airline carriers and will hold up to 30 canaries. For larger orders a second crate or larger crate will be used. The charge for a second crate or larger crate will be cover by the above $30.00 charge. Delivery Options: Cash Only Arrangements can be made for me to meet you within a 1 hour drive for $25.00 or within a 2 hour drive from Wentzville, MO for a $45.00. (price subject to change with gas prices) There is no mimimum order for birds delivered. There is no crate charge for birds delivered, we will bring your bird(s) in our cage and place the bird(s) in your cage for the journey home. For large orders we will supply a box large enough for your birds to be transported in to your destination at no charge, this box will not be airline approved and is only for car transportation purposes. Health certificates: (Usually not required) If required by the airline, depends on the number of birds ordered. This charge is usually $35.00 and includes the office visit and health certificate. This charge will be verfied when the order is placed. Guarantees: We guarantee the health of our birds. For birds sold locally, if your bird should die within 24 hours of purchase contact us. If the cause of death was due to illness, before the bird left our home we will replace the bird or refund the purchase price. We may request that an autopsy be preformed to verify the cause of death. We are not responsible for any veterinarian office fees, tests or autopsy charges. For birds that are shipped, we may request an autopsy be preformed to verify the cause of death, or the return of the unopened leg band, once verified we will refund the purchase price only, shipping charges, crate fee or requested veterinarian services will not be refunded. Our birds are housed inside our home away from possible contamination from West Nile, Bird Flu and Newcastle viruses. We do not attend Bird Fairs, Tailgate sales or other mass sale venues to protect our birds from possible diseases associated with these types of selling venues. We make every attempt to sex our birds properly and do not ship singers until they are in full song here at our home. For singers sold locally you may return the bird, provided it meets the following criteria: the bird is healthy, not molting and the closed leg band has not been removed or split.
