How did Three Rivers Kennedy start?
Well, TRK's roots lie in two bands,
the first is Block mother, which Justin and
I started playing in the 8th grade. Second
is KB Funk, Ben's band from his high school years.
These bands went through a lot of changes over
the years until finally Justin and I met Ben during
our first semester of college. The three of us all
played together in a band for about 2 years before
TRK was born.

Where did you get the name Three Rivers Kennedy? Where did Stone Temple Pilots get their name? It�s
a long story.... and it�s really not that exciting. To be
brief, it involves our President's home state, a road
sign, and some Blue Star Ointment.

Who are some of your influences?
Justin: Mine as far as drumming are a lot of bands
the other guys don�t like, aka The Urge and 311,
but also Foo Fighters, even Nirvana still. Jawbreaker is what I listen to a lot for simple, rock/punk stuff.
Brandon: personally, bands such as The Get Up Kids, Hot Rod Circuit, Jawbreaker, and The Impossibles
influence me. I think we all kind of feel that way.
Ben: I have great admiration for many of the early
and modern "jazz-rock" bassists (Jaco Pastorious,
Victor Wooten, etc). I love Flea and Mike D (yes
there is talent among those no talent ass clowns...
no but seriously, I love Green Day). I also like all
of Brandon�s bands.

So Brandon, would you buy anything Matt Pryor peed on?
Justin: he once bought a severed monkey fist that grants wishes b/c M.P urinated on it.
Brandon: That's disgusting. Did Justin write this question?
Oh by the way, does anyone remember that band The Urge?...
I didn't think so.

Describe your style?
Honest to goodness rock music.
Some may try to say emo, but we don�t even
know what emo is.

Name three people you think you could beat the crap out of?
Justin: Brandon, Ben and the Olson Twins (one person).
Brandon: 1. The employee at Arby's that was rude to me the other day.
2. My psychology professor that's more of a "want to" situation).
3. Wait a second violence is never the answer.
Ben: First, would be Justin for touching the Olsen twins...they're MINE. Oh and by the way Justin... you spelled their name wrong.
Second, is jess for jamming this stupid interview down my throat...
and three...any dork that can tell me what the "scroll lock" button on a keyboard actually does?

If you could play with one band who would it be?
Justin: My loftiest hopes would be Jawbreaker, but that would mean them getting back together, and if we were going to consider that possible then I would change my answer to bringing Kurt Cobain back (RIP) and open for them, no wait them open for us.

Ben would you still be in a band with Brandon if he
talked like a pirate and had a peg leg?
Well that depends on the possibility of an eye-patch
and a hook-for-a-hand scenario...hmmm...and a parrot named
tootsie with drinking problem, whose pet chimp wears "oops I crapped my pants" and plays with kittens.

Do you think Justin gets all the girls? Why do you think that?
Brandon: Let's not boost his ego any higher than it already is. Its just cause he takes his shirt off when we play. If the girls would actually get a good up close look at him with his shirt off, they might think twice. Who doesn't look good sitting behind drums with their shirt off?
Justin: Let me take this chance to clarify. If this is remotely true,I wish said girls would please come forward and confess this to me. There�s lots and lots of Justin to go around.
Ben: of course...the gay one always does.

What do you guys think about Smurfette?
Justin: Pretty hot, but I prefer pasty white Goth chicks over blue ones.
Brandon: I love it when she calls me Big Papa... smurf that is.

Was she a slut? I mean she was the only girl Smurf.
Justin: I disagree, I believe like in Jurassic park the males became able to mate with one another, making the real slut Brainy smurf. Smurfette was all-alone, like myself.

What�s in your CD player right now?
Justin: Yanni...At The Drive In a distant second.
Brandon: Burning Airlines: Mission Control
Ben: old our lady peace (car) and HRC (home)

Do you classify yourselves as more �punk� or �emo�?
Justin: What�s Emo? Guess that makes us punk.
I try to act like a punk, not an Emo.
Brandon: I never know what to say to that. I think we're best summed up as a rock band that is influenced by punk and emo. If we had to choose, I'd probably say emo. Does that make us cool or
uncool? That's the real question.

Do you cry a lot?
No way, we're way too tough.

So when do you expect to put out a full length CD?
Summer 2024
We don't know about a full length yet, but we're planning on having a six to seven song EP out before summer time.

Is there anything else everyone should know about Three Rivers Kennedy?
I was born with my feet bent outward and had to wear special shoes as an infant to straighten them out. Justin was born with a whole the size of
a quarter in his heart. Ben's just a weirdo. Aside from these things we're just a few good ol' boys, never meanin' no harm. JH
