Building Cob Walls
We decided to dig a shallow pit to mix our cob.  The pit is about a foot deep. We lined it with tarp to hold water to soak the dirt/clay.  We set our 65 gallon water tank next to the pit.
Kristina mixing our first batch of cob in the pit. Kristina kneads a cob loaf.
Knitting cob/straw into the lower coarse.
Placing loaf on a previous coarse of cob.
Our first batch of cob mix worked into stone foundation!
A "cobber's thumb" can be used to further work in cob into previous course.
A tarantula checks out our dirt pile.
Bill from New Jersey checks out our cob wall.
