Stone Foundation. |
After the first course of large rocks were set, #4 rebars were placed in the circumference of the foundation for structural reinforcement. We then poured in concrete to create an 8 inch by 10 inch bond beam within the stone foundation. We collected more stones and continued to build up the foundation wall. We were fortunate to have Kristina's mother, Milena, visit us to help us work on gathering stones and building the stone wall. Milena is quite skilled at fitting stone and practically single handedly finished the work on our stone foundation. |

At this stage, Milena has built the foundation to height of about 18 inches. At this height, our foundation is considered complete. |
