Ceiling
On November 11 we started working on the ceiling. 1"x6" rough-cut lumber was nailed directly to the rafter beams.  The end of the boards was cut flush to the cob wall.  (The cob walls will eventually be built-up higher to serve as parapets.)An 18"x18" clearance was created for stovepipe heat shield.  We completed the ceiling in the morning on Nov 12.  There were forcasts for snow (2-6inches).  In an attempt to protect the newly installed ceiling we stapled asphalt roofing paper to the boards. It started snowing as forcasted in the early afternoon.

Sliding boards into position. Nailing board in place.
Clearance for stove pipe. Kristina makes sure things are done correctly.
One hour after nailing last board in place, it starts to snow.
