Roof Installation and finishing touches.
After installing the roof its time to do finish work (i.e. windows, vents, plastering etc.)  So far we added parapets on top of roofing. While enhancing esthetics to structure and creating the true "pueblo" style, it also serves as added weight to help hold down rafters and roofing.  Kristina has been experimenting with various mixtures of earthen plasters for interior.  We added vents holes that penetrate through the cob walls under metal roofing. We also added a small screen vent above the east facing glass window that is embedded in cob. We still need to install a gutter for rain catchment on the roof overhang.
View of front. Cob added on top of roofing and built up as a parapet. Metal roofing nailed on to aspen "vigas".  Roof was salvaged.
Kristina applying a mix of earthen plaster to interior wall. Kristina and Milena mix up a batch of earthen plaster (clay water and straw).
A freshly applied coat of plaster!  Note cresent moon detail added.
