Why Am I writing this webpage?

As long as I can remember, I have been gay.Homosexual.A homosexual man.I reached adulthood believing several things about gay men. 

qI believed that I was the only one.I was the only male (I believed) that had any interest in being intimate or sexual with another man.When my friends and I scoured over Playboy and Penthouse, I was about as turned on as I would have been reading The Wall Street Journal.

qA male who was sexually attracted to another man was a faggot.Not only were “faggots” gross, deviant, and perverted, they weren’t actual men.They were weak, girly, and deserved to be beaten up.

qBeing gay was my dirty little secret.

I have decided once and for all, that in all aspects of my life, I will freely and happily admit that I, Edward McGrath, am a full fledged homosexual. I have been in a very healthy domestic relationship with my partner Charles Veal for almost 15 years (April 26, 1986 was the day we became united. Ironically, our union was memorialized halfway around the world, when Chernobyl exploded).
