Philosophy

I know that it seems a bit strange to have a web site that keys on Family, Freedom and Firearms and have an account of the California Department of Corrections executions on it.  Well I am a husband and father that believes that as parents we have a very short time to instill our morals and beliefs in our kids.  I enjoy firearms, my wife and children do too.  It is something that we can all do together no matter what the age difference is.  We all love going shooting.
As a man who believes in the idea of being tough on crime, I work for an agency that administers the punishment handed down by the courts of California.  I work as a Correctional Officer at a prison in Californnia which houses over 4,000 convicted felons.  I agree with the general principle which is prevailing in our state.  That is being tough on criminals through long prison sentences.  One of the historic ideas behind prison terms was to be a general deterrent.  That is, to put one away for years to make an example of him so others would not commit the same kind of crime.  But the criminals of today don't believe that they will be caught.  So the general deterrence is not working but the specific deterrence is.  That means that each criminal that is in prison can't be out on the street committing crime.
I am also an advocate of the death penalty.  I also think that it is interesting to read the stories of the men that we as a state have executed.
So I put these murderers' stories on my site to give you the opportunity to see for yourself some of the terrible crimes that are committed in our state and a little glimpse at the people who commit such crimes.
