MIDGET THE AMAZING
Our final Friday before school started off as usual.
The Babies, the coasters, the snap of a camera...
but today would be different. Much, much different.
Cuz today the Midget brought a ring!
And what did she want to do with that?
She wanted magician Ed Alonzo for use it for a vanishing illusion!
So we ran to see the show, but she didn't get picked.
Needless to say, Da Midget was crushed.
Pout, pout, pout went next week's second grader.
Point, point went big sister.
"Oh, lighten up," said she.
But Da Midget was not to be messed with.
OWWWWWWWWWWWW!
"Daddy, she BIT me!"
Smooth gums can be very deceiving.
We decided to try again at another show.
Maybe we'd get there early and waltz right in...
...or NOT.
LP tried to wait casually while Da Midget tended to business.
She simply would not be denied a good seat.
Not even MulletMan could intimidate her.
God only knows what happened to that kid tho.
The minute the usher opened the door, the rush was on.
Did we get a front-row seat? Yes and no.
Midget snagged one...but we nudged her back into Row #3.
Always stand clear of the stink of desperation, I say.
What happened next? You'll...never...guess.
It's the girl with the ring! Everyone applaud!
After it vanishes, the blurry kid on the left gets off
the trunk he's sat on for half the show.
Inside the trunk is a locked box.
Inside that box is a can of beans!
Open the beans, pour them out--and at the bottom of that can is the ring!
How did the ring get in the can?
How did the Midget get picked to do it?
There are certain secrets magicians never tell.
