'stupid' fish wise up!

 Scientist in New Zealand have discovered what anglers have know for years anyway - that fish aren't as stupid as people think. The cawthorn Institute took some trout anglers to a heavily fish river and a unfished stretch and tagged any fish they caught to see have easy it was to re-catch. Those fish on the popular stretch were far harder to tempt, but the ones on the unfished stretch learnt very quickly and catch rates plummeted in a few days.

TV star Bazil's out

Just days after finding fame in the national media, RMC Yateley North Lakes biggest resident put in another appearance, this time for Martin Young at 45lb 4oz. Bazil made his 60th visit to the bank after the Bracknell, Berkshire lad spent 10 days at the venue. He hooked it by reeds where he had seen movement earlier. Martyn, 32, was over the moon "when I finally got it in the net I just started screaming "Bazil, Bazil"
