| Talk about your dedicated fans. Duke University has its famous Cameron Crazies, but Gillespie has the Coalmine Crazies. Founded in 2000, the Coalmine Crazies have made a name for themselves by conducting unique cheers at both home and away games, making outrageous signs and they pride themselves in "doing whatever it takes, to help their team to win." They even have their own website (www.geocities.com/coalmine_crazies/index.html) which greets visitors with the Gillespie school song. |
