HISTORY

Coalition for Children: The original Early Childhood Council

The YCF! Community Partnership Grant was written by Coalition for Children (CFC) members in the fall of 1996. The visions shared by this group have grown and blossomed through development of the programs funded by the Department of Education. The early visions of the CFC are carried forward to the current YCF! Community Partnership Council comprised of parents, teachers, and community members. Membership on this council is open to the entire community.

MISSION

YCF! has three main goals:

1. Provide assistance to families for the high cost of childcare.

2.Provide Center-based and Family Childcare programs with support as they strive to provide high quality Early Childhood Educational experiences.

3. Provide parent and educator workshops and comprehensive services to support all in our community who support children.

Through all programs we will stimulate the development of our youngest children by fostering collaboration and resource-sharing among our childcare network, neighborhoods, and families.
