  • The Polaroid photograph was found June 15, 1989 in Port St. Joe, Florida in the parking lot of a convenince store where a white Toyota Cargo Van had been parked previously.
  • The book next to the girl's right arm is V.C. Andrews' My Sweet Audrina. A particular edition of this book was released on June 1, 1989, and if the book in the photograph is the same edition, the photograph must have been taken sometime from June 1, 1989 to June 15, 1989.
  • The boy's shirt has some kind of insignia on it . It may be a comedic, exagerated drawing of a mouse, possum or some other kind of rodent with a large head and small body.
  • Both of the children appear to have a tan.
  • It has been suggested that the girl in the photograph is Tara Leigh Calico [2].
  • It has also been suggested that the boy in the photograph is Michael Henley but Michael's remains were identified in 1990 from a body recovered in the Zuni Mountains where he dissapeared.
  • According to Polaroid, the picture was taken with film not available until May 1989.
  • Two other similar photographs have showed up since the above was found. One was found near a residential construction site in Montecito, CA. Again it was a Polaroid photograph which could not have been taken before June 1989. In this photograph, apparently the same girl is pictured with tape on her mouth. In yet one more Polaroid photograph that could not have been taken before February 1990, a young woman is pictured loosely bound in gauze, her eyes covered with gauzeand wearing large black-framed glasses. A man is seated next to her in a passanger seat of an Amtrak train.
