The event followed here is a model rocketry event
that took a week and involved +70 students and their teachers in the spring
of 2000 at Feds Creek High School in Pike County, KY. The classes were
allowed to make a rocket and a "meat tray" glider and introduced to the modern
aerospace environment, challenged to do trial and error on flying their
glider and use manual dexterity & reasoning to follow instructions and
complete their projects.
The students are allowed to work and have periodic briefings.
Mr. Joey Hamilton, a science teacher, works just like his class, leading
by example.
As the rockets dry in different stages of assembly, the gliders are being
assembled.
The final day, with gliders & rockets in hand, Blast-OFF!!!
