   Suffolk County CC withstood a wild comeback from Brookdale CC in the second game of the NJCAA Division III tournament at SUNY Delhi. Suffolk (30-1) held a 10-point lead with 1 minute, 12 seconds, but Kelvin DeLosAngeles scored nine of his 12 points in the final minute to bring Brookdale (27-5) to within one, 76-75 with five seconds left. After Suffolk's Russell Brereton hit a pair of free throws to make it a three-point game, Brookdale went on a rush. Brookdale's comeback attempt was crushed when the ball got loose at mid-court and Suffolk recovered. Suffolk owned the first half and 34-21 at the break. The Clippers extended the lead to 14 early in the second half, but the Jersey Blues fired back with an 11-1 run to cut the lead to four with 14:58 to go in the game. Charles Manning led Suffolk with 19 points, while Marcele Street had 16 points and eight boards. Tamien Trent added 14 points and Brereton 13. Mark Kelly and Chris Brown each had 16 points to lead the Jersey Blues. Miguel Rodriguez had 12 points and 13 rebounds, while DeLosAngeles had 12.
