LEAGUE MEET APPROXIMATE RACE TIMES

RACE SITE DIRECTIONS

OAK PARK - Stockton (home course): Take El Dorado South to Alpine, make a (L) on Fulton. Park in the lot near the swimming pool/old Stockton Ports baseball field. Race course description: Looped course is flat and run mainly on thick grass.

Early dismissal @ 2:15 p.m. 2 vans will leave the St. Mary's parking lot @ 2:28 p.m. sharp! If you need a ride or can help transport team members be there before 2:20 p.m.


LEGION PARK - Stockton: Take Pershing Avenue south to Elm Street, make a left on Elm (one block before Harding Way), make a left on San Jose. San Jose will dead end. Park will be on your right. Race starts near the playground. Race course description: Race is run in a grass and dirt horseshoe loop around the park. Good spectator course.


WEST HIGH SCHOOL: Take I-5 South to Tracy which becomes 205, take Tracy Blvd. exit, go south on Tracy Blvd., then right on West Lowell to the school. School will be in session. Race course description: Pretty much a road race run along the sidewalks around the perimeter of the school.

Early dismissal will be at 2:00 p.m. I have scheduled 1 bus and 2 vans to take us to the meet. Bus and vans will leave @ 2:15 p.m.


LODI LAKE - Lodi: Take Lower Sacramento Road north to Turner Road. Make a right on Turner Road, park is on the (L). Race start is on the north end of the lake. Race course description: Mostly flat with grass, asphalt road and parking lot, dirt along lake levee and a short span of sand. This is our league championship course.


OAK GROVE PARK - Stockton: Take I-5 north to Eight mile Road - park is on the (R). $3.00 Parking fee. Race course description: Course is run on trails and grass. Flat and fast.


McNair H.S. course - Mosher Creek, Stockton:

Take West Lane north to Morada Lane. Make a right on Morada Lane. Parking and restrooms located at Matt Equinoa Park. Start is 1/4 mile away from the park. Race course description: Entire course is on dirt and a bit of gravel road around the "Field of Death. There are two gates that will need to be either jumped over or gone around.

SIERRA INVITATIONAL - Tuolumne-Legion Regional Park, Modesto:

Go south on Hwy. 99, take the central Modesto Exit. Take G Street into central Modesto, turn right onto 14th , which becomes Yosemite Blvd. at large intersection. Turn right onto Santa Cruz Ave., and follow around past Legion Hall onto Legion Park Drive., and continue along river until road turns left at Tioga Drive. Follow Tioga Dr. 200 meters to Tuolumne Reginal Park entrance. Race course description: Mostly flat and shady with asphalt, grass, and dirt along the banks of the river. All miles are accurately marked.

All members of the team are schedule to race. We will be scored in the large school division for awards. The list will be posted outside the girls locker room from the big gym.

Ed Sias Invitational - Hidden Valley Park , Martinez:

Take I-5 to Tracy, take San Francisco signs to 580. Take Hwy. 680 north towards(Danville/Walnut Creek)and get off at Concord-Burnett Ave. Exit. Turn left on Diamond blvd. Turn left on Concord Ave. Turn right on Contra Costa Blvd. Turn left on Center Ave. Follow Center Ave. 1 mile. Park will appear on the left. Parking is in residential areas (Good luck!) Race course description: Challenging course terrain with unique bridges, and a signature "Finale Hill".The terrain ranges from moderately hilly to flat, with dirt woodchips, and asphalt surfaces. Excellent spectator course.

FROGTOWN (Bret Harte) INVITATIONAL - Angels Camp:

Take 99 south to Hwy. 4 east to Angels Camp (or you can take Hwy. 12). Go right through the town of Angel's Camp. When you get to the "Y" in the road stay to the right and follow the signs to the Frogtown Fairgrounds. Course is on the left. The sign for the fairgrounds is difficult to see. Drive slowly. Race course description: Two challenging hills: first is a 130 foot climb from the 1.0 to the 1.5 mile mark on the 5k course; second hill begins at the 2.1 mile point and climbs 87 feet over the next kilometer. Surface is dirt, blacktop, and some grass on the 5k course.

STANFORD INVITATIONAL - PALO ALTO Take 1-5 to Tracy take San Francisco signs to 580, take 880 South towards San Jose, take the Dumbarton Bridge Exit (Thornton Ave/Hwy 84). Take 101 south to University, Exit at University and follow the signs to Stanford University Golf Course. Parking will be designated. Race course description: Deceivingly tough course run mostly on the Stanford Golf course fairways. There is a long stair step grade in the last third of the race. The finish is about a 200 meter straight.

YOLO COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS - WOODLAND Race is run on a private commercial vineyard. From Sacramento take the Yolo exit (2.7 miles north of West St. exit in Woodland) and go over the overpass on Road 17. Turn left at Road 95A and continue.4 miles until the road turns to the right and becomes Road 17A (approx. .3 miles). Turn left on Road 95A and dirve l/2 mile and then turn right at Road 18. Large colorful signs and balloons from the freeway exit will also help guide vehicles to the race site. Race course description: Run through the vineyard mostly on packed dirt.

Time will be no set race times, you must be ready to race. All times are approximate:

CLOVIS INVITATIONAL- Overnighter (State Meet Course) - Woodward Park, Fresno :

Hwy. 99 south towards Fresno., Exit at Ave. 12. Follow Ave. 12 until you hit Hwy. 41. Follow signs to Woodward Park (Friant Rd). Parking fee. The team will be staying at the Towneplace Suites - Marriott (Off Fresno Ave. & Herndon). Team dinner will be at Chili's across the street from our hotel. My cell #: 817-2741. I have reserved 7 suites (5 will be used by the team), two extra suites (each suite comes with a QS bed and sofabed, sleeps 4) available for $112.00. If any parent travelling the night before would like one of those suites let me know as soon as possible. Race course description: Fast dirt course with undulating hills throughout. This is the State Meet course. Over 100 schools will be entered in this invitational.

BRONCO INVITATIONAL - Willows Hill Course, Folsom (Section Meet Course):

Directions: Folsom High is on Iron Point Road in Folsom. Take Hwy 99 to Hwy 50 (towards Lake Tahoe) to Folsom. Take the Prairie City Road exit off of Hwy 50. Go north to the high school stadium parking. Walk southeast through the campus and look for our team on the grassy area. Race course description:Semi-hard packed dirt trails and gravel roads. Mosting rolling with two (F/S)and four (var) challenging hills.

TCAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - OAK GROVE PARK - Stockton Take I-5 north to Eight mile Road - park is on the (R). $3.00 Parking fee. Race course description: Course is run on trails and grass. Distance is short of 2 miles and 3 miles, flat and fast.

DeLaSALLE/CARONDELET INVITATIONAL- Newhall Park, Concord:

Directions: Take 680 to the Treat/Geary exit. Go east five miles to Turtle Creek Road. Turn right on Turtle Creek Road, and the park is on you left after one mile. For the best parking, continue on Treat Blvd, past Turtle Creek Road and turn right onto Clayton Road. Then turn right on Newhall Parkway, which dead ends at the park on the east side.

Race course description: Challenging hill course with some asphalt.
