1) CYO League follows all PIAA except what is listed below.
1) A) New rule this year
1) 18 Substitutions will be allowed for each game
2) Libro may be used in Varsity or JV matches. Player must wear a contrasting color shirt with a number on it and this player may serve for one player in the rotation..
2) All varsity matches will be played at a 7 foot 4 inch net and will consist of 3 games to 25 no cap.
3) All JV matches will be played at a 7 foot net height and will contain as many games to 25 no cap as can be finished in the time period prior to the varsity match.
4) The scheduled times for each match Varsity or JV as noted in the league schedule will reflect the start of the match. The second varsity match listed at a location will begin play at the scheduled time unless court is not available, then it will begin ASAP after court becomes available.
5) 5 Min. of shared passing followed by 5 min. of sharing hitting and 2 min. of sharing serving will be considered warm-up for each match. Please during shared hitting only have hitting from strong side (the left side of the court) to avoid injury. Also ball sharing is permitted and encouraged so that more hitting can be done in the warm-up time period.
6) All overhand serving whether in JV or Varsity level must be done behind the service line.
7) In JV matches only an underhand servicer may take two steps into the court but not reach the 10 foot line before serving.
8) Gate fee's for all matches (JV and Varsity) will be $2.00 for each adult entering the court area. Fee collection for all matches is to be taken up by the host team.
9) Ref fee's are $25 for each varsity match.
10) All extra money collected will be turned over to league commissioner (Sue Connor) when amounts reaches over $25.
11) Each coach within 24 hours must e-mail JV and Varsity scores to [email protected].. Home team must also e-mail door collection amount that exceed ref fee's. This e-mail will help Sue Connor commissioner to maintain league standings and cost info for the league.
12) All JV teams are invited to the CYO JV Tournament to be held at Fleetwood Middle School on Oct 24. There will be no charge for teams or door fee's collected.
13) Varsity play-offs 0ct 25 at Holy Name. There will be no fee's for the teams or door fee's collected.
