equivalent to a2+b2, which will be explored by the
students through the following website: http://illuminations.nctm.org/ActivityDetail.aspx?ID=127 With fifteen minutes left in class, the odd
homework problems will be assigned to check their understanding of the
concept.

Wednesday
|
After a week of
problem solving, it is time to test what we have learned. Five teams will be randomly generated for
a Jeopardy-style competition. The
students rotate through so that each student has had an opportunity to answer
several questions. The winning team
gets ten extra credit points added to their next test, and each successive
team gets two points less (10-8-6-4-2).
