Military genius, political mastermind, madman, social innovator, conquering hero and evil tyrant are all terms one can associate with him. How can one man have inspired and been hated by so many? Procedure

     The year is 1822. Napoleon Bonaparte, France's controversial ex-emperor is dead. You have been assigned to write several newspaper articles describing the highs and lows of his life. There is so much material; you can't possibly explain everything there is to know about this man in a few newspaper articles. A crucial decision must be made: what topics should be written about that will capture this man's life for the average

Project
     The project, which you will be producing, will have the look and feel of a newspaper. Read the following requirements carefully, missing information will have a negative effect on your grade.

          - Cover Sheet: will consist of a title, headline, visual and a table of contents

          - Articles: Four articles based on the areas of inquiry that you researched. Each article should contain at least five specific facts related to the topic. Remember you are a reporter living in 1822. You are reporting from Europe at that time.

          - Other Requirements: At least 3 works of art that depict Napoleon or the Napoleonic era placed within the story or at the end of the paper. At least 3 quotes by or about Napoleon worked into the writing. Art work and quotes by or about Napoleon are abundant, try to explain the purpose of the art or meaning of the quotes whenever possible.

          - BONUS: Include an editorial which takes the position of Napoleon as a hero, tyrant or both. An editorial allows you the freedom to express your opinion but be sure to support your belief with facts from your articles.
