Champagneless Punch Bowl
refrigerate punch bowl, or fill with ice to chill
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 6 oz. can frozen grapejuice concentrate
2 21 oz. cans chilled Lemon Lime Slice
1/3 cup grenadine syrup
1 strawberry ice ring (see below)
Mix sugar with water in saucepan and boil five minutes. �Add frozen juice concentrates. �Refrigerate. �At serving time add Lemon Lime Slice and grenadine syrup. �Stir lightly.
�Fill 1/2 of punch bowl with "champagne". �Float ice
ring in bowl. �Add more "champagne" to fill bowl 3/4 full.
�Makes 24 servings.
���Strawberry
Ice Ring
2 quarts distilled water
1 dozen large strawberries
Pour distilled water to measure about 1 inch into a 2 quart ring mold. �Arrange unhulled berries in bottom. �Freeze until firm. �Gradually pour in distilled water to fill mold. �Freeze until firm, several hours. �When ice ring is frozen, unmold onto waxed paper. �Return to freezer at once. �Leave in freezer until ready to use.
