2.  WILLIAM CLARK TAYLOR3 STEPHENS (MARY ANN JANE2 TAYLOR, CLARK1) was born December 24, 1827 in Oglethorpe County, Ga, and died December 19, 1903 in Welaka, Florida.  He married AUGUSTINA ALEXANDRIA FLEMING November 28, 1848 in Alachua County, Florida, daughter of LEWIS FLEMING and AUGUSTINA CORTEZ.  She was born October 22, 1831 in Hibernia, Florida, and died August 20, 1900 in Welaka, Florida.

STEPHENS , CLARK  Born 1828 died December 19, 1903. m. Tina Fleming. Discharged because of medical injury , However I think Winston gave him the discharge so he could be at home to watch the family. He was Winston's brother. Buried at Oak wood Cemetery. His wife is the Sister of Frederic Fleming of this Company. This according to RCC and tombstone in Oakwood.

Death Of Clark Stephens appears in the 1904 edition Newspaper in Palatka.

Enlisted October of 1861 in Palatka. Made Captain April 19, 1862 after the death of Ben Hopkins, He was born  in Oglethorpe Co. Ga. 7/13/29 came to Florida from Alabama. He was killed shortly after The Battle of Olustee near Cedar Creek, Duval County,Fl on March 1, 1864. Swepston B.W. Stephens is his brother. Tivie and Wins had three children Rosalie, Isabella Gertrude,  Winston. Read The Rose Cottage Chronicles for story of their family. They are buried in private family cemetery in Welaka, Florida  He was first buried in Lake City then move to West View cemetery in Palatka. He was the son of Thomas  Peter Goolsby  and Mary Ann ( Taylor) Stephens

Brother of David Levy Branning. His brother William C.C. Branning married Reubannah Gaines. She is the sister of Mary Henry Gaines and Half Sister of Winston, Clark and Sweptson Stephens

Later he was mustered out under Captain Henry Gray.Paroled at Waldo May 20, 1865 Thomas Branning and Dennis Glisson sign as Witnesses that they served with Gaines in the CO B 2nd Fl Cavalry
