Our First Date

Cody's Story

I remember the first time that I met Collette she had called me and asked me if I wanted to go out with her and her two friends to a restaurant called Kincaids. I waited downstairs, then a blue civic drove up to the curve and slowed down. This date was a blind date so when I opened the door I finally met Collette for the first time. Cheryl drove the car, Jackie was sitting in the passenger seat and Collette sat in the back with me.
We drove and arrived at Kincaids, I remember that the restaurant was very busy and also packed that night because Kapena, a local band played that night at the restaurant. We were all tightly squeezed into the lounge where the picture was taken. I was a bit nervous, recalling that evening I remember ordering just a caesar salad and did not talk a whole lot. I sat and listened to the band wondering what to say to her.
We finally left Kincaids and decided to sing at the Karaoke Hut. Collette was so nervous she didn't want to sing. According to her friend Jackie and my memory I remember that I sat next to her while I was singing and then she moved away from me.

Collette's Story

This was the first Picture taken together and meeting each other in person. It was a nervous moment for me. I didn't know how to act. Two of my friends came with me because I felt that I needed support. On out first date we tried to talk in order to get to know one another better. Every time we looked at each other to talk there were butterflies floating around in my stomach. I hope I made a good impression on him that could last forever. I could tell that Cody was the one that I was waiting for, after this night it was easier for me to talk to him.
