I use high quality components such as St. Croix and G.Loomis blanks. For the angler who wants a less expensive rod, I can use Hook and Hackle brand components. |
| You choose what style cork grip you want, whether you want a cigar style, full wells, western, or a reverse half wells grip. Choose what color Gudebroad nylon NCP thread you want.You can also choose what style guides you want either traditional snake guides, single foot snake guides. Or if you are ordering a spinning or casting rod you can choose single or double foot guides. The rods listed below are a few good all-around fly rods. They are not pre-made, so it you want something different on them I can I can probably find it. You can choose different wood grains for the reelseats at no cost, or different guides for a slightly different price. The thread I choose for each rod will complement the blank and components, but I can use any color thread you want. |

| Why buy a custom rod? If you buy a custom fishing rod you can have it built how you like it. If you want a wild thread color you can have it, if you want the best components (something usually not found on stock rods) I can build your rod with them. I will find the spine of the rod where the guides will be placed for best performance, also almost never done on stock rods.The guides will also be spaced on the blank for the best casting performance. I can build your rod with some attractive new guides such as "Mean Green", "Fireball Red", or American Tackle holographic guides, or if you don't want somthing so flashy I can use guides with chrome or black frames. If you want one, for an additional cost, I can do a diamond wrap on your rod. You can also get a custom made decal with your name, or the name of the fisher person that will be using the rod, if the rod is a gift. |
