I grew up in Missouri and was raised United Pentecostal by my parents who were from Texas and Oklahoma. I joke and tell people now that I live in Minnesota I am a "misplaced southerner" though growing up I always thought I was midwestern. HA! I love Jesus with all my heart and I want to do anything I can to please HIM. I recieved the Holy Ghost at age 11, was baptised in Jesus name at age 8, and have taught Sunday School for a number of years as well as leading music, running the sound and anything else that needed done. The Preacher's wife has to do whatever is left some times! LOL! My husband and I have been in Home Missions for the past 7, almost 8 years and it has been a learning experiance to be sure! Starting a church from the ground up is some challenge let me tell you! I am also involved with The Weigh Down Workshop. I have lost about 100 pounds so far and I have about 50 more pounds to go to get where I think the Lord wants me, but only he knows for sure. WDW has changed my way of thinking about food PRAISE GOD and I am no longer in bondage and slavery to the food! I would highly reccomend reading "The Weigh Down Diet" by Gwen Shamblin wether you need to lose weight or not, it is about SO MUCH MORE than just weight loss, it's a total change of heart! Anyway I am just a happy go lucky sort, I love to sing and write songs and poetry and short stories, I have done a little watercolor painting and I enjoy acting as well. I have had all kinds of jobs over the years, telemarketing, babysitting, cashier, Barrista, dental assistant and Radio DJ! I have been an Avon lady as well. But my favorite job is being a mom! I am a friend to anyone in need of one and I try to be a good shoulder to cry on. I've always wanted to be an author and in 2004 my dream came true! I have written one book so far, it is titled: Through The Window of Hope
