Naruto is a series that follows the life of a boy who dreams of being acknowledged by the people of his village. He figures that the only way people will acknowledge him is if he becomes Hokage (which is the number one ninja of the clan). A long time ago a Demon Fox with 9 tails came to the village to kill the people. The 4th Hokage gave his life to defeat this demon and seal the spirit in a little boy�s belly. That little boy is Naruto. Naruto grew up with no parents. This is why in the early part he goes around acting retarded, it�s mainly for attention. He later realizes that he won't graduate from the Ninja academy and become a Genin (rookie ninja). The final exam is to duplicate yourself, which Naruto fails to do, thus he does not graduate. A Chuunin (Middle Rank Ninja) tells Naruto about the secret scroll and that by reading it and practicing he can graduate. Naruto does steal the scroll and learned a Jutsu (ninja Technique) called "Bunshin no Jutsu" which is to clone himself. But the Chuunin wanted the scroll for himself and tracks down Naruto to kill him. Narutos Academy teacher Iruka (another Chuunin) gets to Naruto first and tells him to give back the scroll. Naruto feels that Iruka hates him for some reason (not knowing that the demon he holds killed Irukas parents) and thinks that is why Iruka failed him. Naruto, Happy to see his teacher, quickly shows his newly acquired Jutsu. The other Chuunin arrives and tells Naruto the story of the Demon 9 tailed fox being sealed in his belly (which everyone who survived the Demon fox was forbidden to talk of the event to Naruto). Needless to say Naruto runs and Iruka and the evil Chuunin battle it out. Iruka begins to lose and is about to die when he says that Naruto reminds him of himself and that he is HUMAN in every form. Naruto, Hiding behind a near by tree, hears his teacher say this and jumps into the fight. He looks at the evil Chuunin and tells him he will die. Naruto performs his Bunshin no Jutsu and releases more than 100 clones to beat the crap out of the evil Chuunin. What�s more amazing is Naruto perfected the Bunshin no Jutsu so that his clones aren't just fakes but REAL replicas of himself. The story then progresses to where Naruto and his fellow classmates are then split up into groups of three. This is where the real story begins. Naruto is paired up with the #1 rookie ninja, Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. They are assigned to one of the most powerful Jounin (Upper ranked Ninja), Hatake Kakashi. Hatake Kakashi takes over where Iruka left off. Hatake Kakashi is so powerful that his tactics and teaching makes the three (aka team 7) push themselves to become stronger. Once split into teams they are assigned jobs. The series progresses and we find that a Chuunin exam is about to be held and Kakashi sensei feels that his team is more than ready. Unfortunately this is where the series stops. it is a new series and the last episode translated is episode 26. Word has it there is about 110 episodes that will make it to TV. |
