Nestle Inspired Poems
Mommy is an English major, so she loves to write. Here are some poems that she wrote about puppies and specifically, ME!
On that miserable October day,
I laid a farewell kiss upon her nose
And thought of memories I would never forget
This old lady was no longer a puppy,
but she had always been my baby.
My little dog's passing was met with bitter tears.

I tried to see the future through those tears
And begged for a new friend the next day
My parents would not ndulge their baby
Though my pleading wet arguments ran down my nose
I ached for the companionship of a puppy
but they told me this ws a request to forget

Yet my burning fever would not let me forget
I bathed my heart each night in tears,
My dreams invded by a phantom puppy,
Who continued to haunt me in the day
How I wished for cold wet nose
for my own, to be my baby.

God decided to smile on his child, his baby
Whose desperate prayers he could not forget
He sent an adorable little nose
In the path of Daddy, who pitied my tears
and decided to end my suffering that day
With the gift of a wiggling puppy.

When I saw that bundle of puppy
I squealed like a happy baby
My heartache ended that fulfilled day.
A sight my family won't soon forget:
I rained down exuberant tears
that fell on a little puppy nose

She pushed that dariling wet nose
In my face, as only a puppy
Can do, and dried away all my tears.
I held her close, my soft little baby.
andwhile we know we'll never forget,
We took a million pictures that day.

I planted kisses on her puppy nose
All day, while shedding one more tear
For another baby I won't forget.
