THE HISTORY OF NESTLE PUPPY
How I came to live with my Mommy
Once upon a time, my Mommy lived on a farm with lots of sheep and goats. (Man, I am sad I missed out on all those animals to herd!) Mommy really liked her goats and they had names and stuff. But her Daddy (my grandpa!) couldn't take care of them anymore and wanted to sell them to good homes. This made Mommy really sad, but she gave in one day when grandpa bribed her with a puppy! He said next summer, when she came home from college, she could get a puppy. The thought of an adorable puppy like me was just too much for Mommy and she gave in.
Man, I can't believe I missed out on this herding opportunity!
Mommy began to think about what kind of puppy she wanted. It had to be small and not have very long hair. She decided a Jack Russell Terrier would be good, but she would keep her eyes open for something better. Sean and Mommy used to go to Greensboro Mall sometimes and go to petshops so Mommy could look at the puppies. A few days before I came, they went and looked at the puppies. There was a Corgi puppy there and Mommy said that puppy just seemed to be looking at her. She said it was strange.

The day came when the goats had to go. Mommy was very sad, but she had to be happy because there was a cookout that night. Mommy and her mommy (my grandmama) looked through a dog book to see what kind of puppy she wanted. They both said a Corgi looked really cute (of course!)

About then, grandpa pulled into the cookout. Mommy went to say hello him. He said that he had something for her and opens the door. There was a squirming little puppy: ME! WOW was mommy surprised.

I'm ready for my close-up!
While grandpa was at the sale, he saw a friend of his that raised goldfish. He wanted some goldfish, so after the sale, he went to visit this friend. They had a lot of fun looking at the fish and hanging out when grandpa saw some puppies. He asked the man what he was going to do with the puppies and he said he was going to sell the ones with the blue merle (after the Aussies) but he could have a little brown one. Grandpa jumped on that and he had already decided he wanted me (because I am the cutest!). So he got me and brought me home to Mommy.

When Mommy got me, I was a little scared. I wasn't sure what was going on. I kept hiding my little head under Mommy's arm. But that didn't last long. Now I am brave little puppy and I am not scared of anything! (except vaccum cleaners) But that is the story how I became the happiest little puppy in the world!

This is my Mommy and Daddy. I love them SOOOO much and we all have so much fun playing together!
