To nobody's surprise the IV-1 Class 1992-'93 held their reunion unexpectedly. I can clearly hear their stories and laughter as I enter the big and noisy JAIL.
Lt. Cdr. Marites Mariano escorted me upon entering. I remember her big and loud commanding voice when she's still an active CAT-1 officer. She left me at the office of the famous and best lawyer ever, Atty. Esmeraldo dela Rosa Jr. He is the lawyer-in-charge of letting their other classmates out of the dark cages.
The first cell we visited was composed of the "entertainers and goers" who were arrested during club raids. Of course, it was Mamasan Emily Tanamor who was at the center of the cubicle. With her are her talents like the ex-modernized Josephine Agellon. She unbelievably turned into a great folk dancer of Mamasan's Tavern. Beside her was the former never-sing-never-dance Janice Angeles. She finally realized that she's hiding her best potentials, and now here she is, proud as the bar's best performer. There was also Jemima Barba, the delicate china doll and with can't kill a fly looks, the known lady of the 90's is now an out-standing-there waiting for a customer outside the bar. I laughed hard after seeing the playgirl Erlynn Villar. Ha, ha. She once played a tomboy image in high school, but not now. I also saw their everday customer Jonel Rusit getting closer to Janice, they make a good couple. After chatting a while with them, came the famed Congressman Allan Rowell Alonalon. Sshh...he's Mamasan's backer. Then we proceeded to the next cell.
This small room is loaded with IV-1 racketeers. I asked the attorney who's that black and dirty lady bus driver holding the rusty alloy bars of the room. And I could hardly believe his response; it was the sophisticated and decent valedictorian of their batch, Ruth Consolacion. This lass really has a crazy and eerie mind. Beside her was, who else but her conductor Santi Sabater, the bodyguard. The two are big time bus racketeers. With them was Rossell Dizon known as Ka Che, the famous and most dangerous NPA maid. There with her was Melvin Ocampo alias "Vhin Thok," the leader of the Taurus-Scorpion Group of kissnappings while Oliver Morales, the Poker Lord played his cards silently. The three have just surrendered a week ago. Another group was the graveyard racketeers, the "gold diggers," they dig the jewels of the dead men they bury. Those no-soul, no-stomach people were: Cristina Orcullo, the embalmer; Jason Matias, the Funeraria Ilong Hatsing owner; and Edrick Lopez, the undertaker. Who could ever believe that all these clever and intelligent people had just turned into stupid and dumb SPARTANS (Remember what she said?). He, he.
We saw the tax evaders, movie stars and models in the next cell like the century's matinee idol, Mr. Darwin Bajo. This lad is the one every girls long to live with forever. His movie partner was also there. She's the very sexy, gorgeous and ravishing Christina Anne Taduran. (She worked out really hard). Another tax evader was the era's Gretchen Barretto, Ms. Juliet Rocero. Commercial models Alfie Padua of Pantyn Shampoo and Flordecita Sacbibit of Likas Durian Bleaching Beauty Soap were also there. The two were found guilty after it was proven that they stole the product they modelled. I noticed that Alfie's hair is now straight, soft and shiny while Flor's skin is as smooth as porcelain and as white as cotton. Million debtors, Marion Aguirre and Gertrude Ruiz were imprisoned a while ago. I was shocked when I saw the thin and long-bridged nose of Marion and the thick and perfectly tatooed eyebrows of Gertrude. The two were sued by their surgeon because of their no-money but T.Y. surgery bills and fees.
In the laborer's cell was Irene Dumlao, the optometrist whose case was making high-graded eye glasses for the President of the Philippines. They put her in jail because she mistakenly exchanged the President's 100 grade glasses for the 5000 grade glasses of an almost blind person. There was also Dra. Cherie Mary Miranda who panicked because of a hospital brownout so she unnoticably left a pair of scissors inside her patient's body. Pilot Ma. Bethlana Sunglao was also imprisoned because of the gossip, that she is to be blamed about a plane crash. She told me that it was not her fault because she can't even reach to step her feet on the brakes of the plane. Professor Johann Cabuco was jailed because of his attempted murder to his three year pupil. He's still hot-tempered. Dennis Quinio was caugh-in-the-act while he's dynamite fishing. There was also the man behind King Kong II, the mad scientist Roldan Umandal. He turned crazy. The class salutatorian Neil Paul Silva was also present. He used his electronic mind as a foundation for being a good repair man. He mistakenly created fire, not air in electric fans, water on blowers, etc. Rose Marie Villasin was the secretary who was sued by her boss' wife for flirting with her boss. Enrique Salle and Rolven Villanueva became gays. The two run their own beauty parlors and were jailed because of starting a big riot in their place. But now they're pals, they even put make-up on each other's faces.
In the other cubicle, reporter Emely Carilla was standing by the bars. She was libelled. She was one of the most tacit students of the class, but now she's a movie reporter and gossiper. With her was Charlie Casim, the owner and manager of the printing press where her news was published. There was Marifel Magsino who was blamed for killing a person while the truth is, she only killed an ant. The blame was just a rumor; she was hard-heartedly put into prison. Rico Vega was jailed because of indecent exposure. He threw away the UP oblation and stood in its place. Meynard Villareal, the student who prioritized baseball and very tardy in class, was the cause of a long, big traffic jam. He was just reading books while crossing streets. He flipped because of full concentration to his studies. There was also the 10m/s runner, Marianne Pascual. She drives every place she runs into a view after a tornado passed by.
The last cubicle containing IV-1 students was placed underground. Cutesie Agana was there after being injected with an anti-weight drug because she formerly gained a pound a minute. Joyce Vicedo overgrew after taking a bottle of growth balls. She grew upto 22 ft. which caused animal death because she can't see them, that's why she stepped on them. The former Mr. Universe, the very manly, Aldwin Pilapil, started up a fight because of his overconfidence in his puissant muscles and Hulk Hogan-like strength.
I didn't notice that when we went on the next cell of IV-1, the first room was open to free the prisoners. It's not because of the great Atty. dela Rosa, but because of Anthony Guimba and Ma. del Pilar Pena's nuptial. They got married in the jail's chapel. Madel was crying because of hapiness while her husband is crying for his future being mariied to that woman. Mother Superiora Juthrie dela Torre (This is too much!) entered to help Father Christopher Niere. The married couple wanted to be with their classmates again, that's why they freed them a while and held their wedding in jail.
Soon after this, I realized that eventhough they were the noisiest section one I've ever taught, they're still the best and the most unique batch. I, being their loving mentor, bailed them out!
Freedom is their DESTINY!!!
