A Farewell to Home
I closed the door behind me, It echoed in my heart I always wanted an adventure, Now I am hesitant to start. I used to long to roam, But now, my heart, it breaks. The danger bids me hurry on But, oh, how I want to wait! But speed I must have and so I embark And venture the night, cold and dark. Thus begins my journey, But I do not know the way I only hope to return To my beloved home one day.

Your Burden
As you lie here and sleep, I wonder if you find rest. This burden that you carry is too much for you to bear. I wish that I could help you, wish you could have peace. It hurts my very soul to see you in such pain. I admire your courage, the strength I see in you, as you carry this Ring, burdened by its power. I remember the days in the Shire, when you were happy and carefree. But now your days hold such pain, and thirst and weariness abound. I will help you to the mountain, see you rid of this burden that you bear. I long for the days when you're free, and can feel joy and peace again.

Speak On
Keep speaking, if I do not seem to hear, I am too weary, weighed down, to reply. I travel through a wasteland of my own Still darker than the wastes that round us lie.
My memories, my hopes, are faded now. My heart is far beyond dread or desire. A furnace fills my thoughts and steals the days We spent within the safety of the Shire.
You speak of it and something filters through, Some light into the shadows of my soul. Speak on, Sam, tell me what survives behind, And that may give me strength to reach the goal.

My Mission
I must complete my mission, must reach the mount of fire, though I'm not very important, just a hobbit from the Shire. I'm not a man or dwarf, or an elf, so light and fair, Yet to me this was entrusted, this burden that I bear. It's a weight around my neck, growing heavier each day, but this Ring must be destroyed, I have to find a way. |

I said I'd go to Mordor, so the Ring could be unmade, but the closer I get to the end, the more Im starting to fade. Its hard to remember the days, before I had the Ring to bear, the days when life was happy, in the Shire without a care. But now I must go on, to my quest I must attend. I will see the Ring destroyed, and the evil of Sauron end.

A Parting of Friends
For years we've been friends, playing together, talking together, even finding trouble together. We've never been apart for long. Now you left with Gandalf, and I don't know when I shall see you. While you were here, Pippin, I found comfort in your presence. You talked to me, made me laugh, were there when I needed a friend. Now that you are gone, my joy has gone as well. Darkness is coming to the land. I hope it shall not part us for long. -Arwen |
