CHRISTIAN FAMILY FELLOWSHIP (PDO)

TOPIC:  SOWING UNTO ETERNITY (Galatians 6 :8)

Golden text:   “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”. (Gal 6:8)

Introduction:

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven - a time to sow and a time to reap. In our study today, we shall strive to understand biblical principles governing sowing and the expectations of the righteous thereafter that we may walk circumspectly, making the most of every opportunity.

1.    Sowing (what, when and how) - they that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

QI.   What are believers called to sow? (Hos 10:12; Luk 8:11)

Q2.   What principle governs sowing? (2 Cor 9:6-9; Gal 6:7; Job 4:8)

Q3.  How should we sow and is there a reward for sowing properly? (Pro 11:18-26; Mal 3:8-10; Phi 4:14-18; Rev 22:12)

2)         Failing to Sow.

Ql What kept the unprofitable servant from trading with the talent his master gave him? (Luk 19:21) Q2 What could happen to us when we refuse to sow? Luke 19:22-27

Q3        How do these affect us Christians in our walk with our Lord? What are some of us busy doing? (2The3:11-13; 1 Tim 5:13; Psa 1:1)

3)         Sowing in the Flesh and the rewards thereof.

Ql.  What does it mean to sow in the flesh? Can a believer sow in vain? (Lev 26:15-16; Pro 22:8)

Q2.  How can we avoid sowing in vain? (Mal 3:3)

4)         Sowing unto eternity.

Q1.  How should we sow to reap eternal life? (Gal 6:8; Lev 26:3-5; Dan 12:3)

Q2.  What does it mean to sow in tears? (Psa 126:5,6)

Q3.  What things could discourage us from sowing? (Ecc 11:4-6)

Q4.  How should we deal with them? (Isa 28:22-26; 32:19-20)

Q5.  Having sown, what should we do? (Luke 12:24-32, Psalm 37:1-2; Isa 55:8-Il; Eph 6:13)

Conclusion:

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the

Lord, till He come and rain righteousness upon you (Hos 10:12). May God grant us the grace to be faithfully in these end times, that the days of evil do not overcome us.
