Tim 4:1-5.
Introduction:
• Proclaiming the gospel of Christ, or
proclaiming good tidings” (Acts 1:8; 2 Tim. 4:5).
• Primary occupation of the early
church (Acts 8:4)
• A witness gives testimony; where there is
considerable concern for the truth of the matter. He can also be a guarantee of
the accuracy of a transaction (Jer. 32:10; 2Tim 2:6)
• The
believer’s life and word serve as a witness to the world.
Special witness of the apostles of His
resurrection (Acts 1:22: 2:32; 10:41; 13:31)
Implications for all believers. (Acts 1:8; Is.
43: 10,12)
The believer’s model in witnessing (1 Tim. 6:13;
Rev. 1:5).
